Dietikon الزهور

Little known Dietikon is located a mere 20 minutes from Zurich. The fifth biggest city in the Zurich area, Dietikon is not known amongst many tourists. Most prefer to spend their time in Zurich and the better-known tourist destinations in the region. For the flower lover Dietikon however has a few attractions that should be checked out. For those wanting to learn a little more about local flora and fauna, Gartenvielfalt is a great place to head for the afternoon. This show garden offers education on plants and flowers and there is also enough to keep the children occupied. Of course, Zurich is within easy reach of Dietikon and offers a ton of floral attractions for those who are interested. The Old Botanical Garden is known for a collection of gorgeous trees that enable you to seek shelter in the dappled shade in the hotter months. There are cherry trees on display here in spring, as well as azaleas and a selection of other native species of plants. Arboretum Park in the city is a great place to head in the spring to check out the crocus plants, and daffodils are on display in Belvoir Park in the spring too. Rieter Park is known for its simply beautiful collection of magnolia trees, and watch out for cherry trees around the town in the spring as well. If you are lucky enough to visit Dietikon or Zurich in May you will definitely need to head back to Belvoir park for its stunning display of wisteria which is an amazing sight to behold. There is also a beautiful Iris Garden, but you will be lucky to catch them as they are not on display for more than a week or two. On your drive between Dietikon and Zurich you will also likely be rewarded with fields bursting in yellow with either dandelions or daffodils.
