Aerodrom, meaning Airport or Aerodrome in Macedonian, is one of ten municipalities in Macedonia’s capital city, Skopje. Though its name means “airport,” Aerodrom doesn’t actually have an airport, and it was named for a military airport that was once there, destroyed in 1941 by Nazi Germany during the Second World War.
