Famous for its cultural history and great music scene, Leipzig is also a popular destination for flower lovers. The city’s zoological garden has made conservation its focus and great strides have been taken to ensure that the animals are in a habitat that is natural and familiar to them. The Leipzig Botanical Garden is centered on research and visitors can wander among the beds and greenhouses taking in all of the native and imported plants. Tulips, snowdrops and edelweiss can be seen blooming in the springtime, here and at the zoological gardens.
