If you have a car, why not drive around the area and make a stop off at one of the many country pubs or bars in the area around Sutton for a pint. In fact, the area is a great place to explore with a car if you are on the lookout for flowers, plants and shrubs when touring the Sutton area. Guildford Castle for example is known for its spectacular displays of tulips in the spring and summer months. The National Trust Hatchlands Flower Park is another great place to explore - the area is completely carpeted with bluebells in the spring. Elsewhere, Savil Flower Gardens is stuffed with vibrant pink and orange flowers including azaleas. The RHS Wisley Flower Gardens boast award winning displays of daffodils as well as an exotic garden featuring banana plants and dahlias. Wisley also has a pleasant Rock Garden, with beautiful flowers and weeping trees, as well as a charming cottage garden full of foxgloves and other country style plants. The rose garden is also worth a visit here - the manicured lawns and rose bushes are not the only things on display here, with a striking border full of blue plants making for a stunning backdrop and excellent photograph opportunities. Painshill is another pleasant place for a walk and features bluebells in the spring and is well worth a visit for this seasonal outburst of purple and blue alone.
Sutton has plenty of things to do on offer, but many people spending their time here will choose to head into London proper and check out the wide range of attractions here, such as the parliament buildings, Big Ben, the London Eye or the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus.
