The city is known for holding the Konan Wisteria Festival. These vine-like flowers are hanging over particular places at the Mandara Temple Park. There are 70 species of hydrangeas, and these bushes can grow up to 10 ft. They are favorite ornamental plants, but some species are toxic and could deliver sicknesses to human. Some are suitable for making tea. Cosmos flowers are cousins with the daisies, asters, and sunflowers. Aside from the fact that they are so pretty to look at either at a field or the garden floor, there’s a species called the Cosmos atrosanguinea or chocolate cosmos because it gives off a chocolate-like scent.
Flower Park Konan is another site in Konan where one can enjoy nature as you walk by because of the seasonal flowers that grow around the pond.
