A real treat for the visitor, Victoria delights with its attractions and open spaces. Considered by locals to offer an amazing quality of life, Victoria has plenty to see and do. Check out the great Royal BC Museum for an amazing display of items, or head to the Parliament Buildings during your stay. Victoria also has some stunning beaches for those who like to watch the surf. For flower lovers, Victoria is an absolute gem. Known as the garden city, Victoria has an amazing selection of open green spaces and places to view plants and shrubs. The best place to take in the local flora is in beautiful Beacon Hill Park. Here, stroll beautifully manicured gardens and gaze at the flowers and the many varied exotic plants on display. A relaxing walk by the ponds will enable you to take in the fawn lilies and Oregon grapes. If you are lucky enough to be in Victoria in March then head on over to View Street or Blanchard Street and take in the stunning cherry blossoms in bloom. It makes for an excellent photograph. Hatley Castle and Gardens also have beautiful flower displays that delight throughout the year, particularly in the spring months as the flowers burst open after spring. Still in spring, if you are in Victoria in daffodil season then a walk along Dallas Road will reward you with a great display of the yellow bulb.
