An acknowledged flower by the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Golden Merit, the firecracker flower grows from a bush. It serves as an ornamental plant grown in containers and flower beds. They came from India and Sri Lanka but are flourishing in other countries like the Philippines as well. Hyacinths are celebrated every March 7th as World Hyacinth Day. They are beautiful six-pointed flowers that can grow up to 12 inches. Its very name is from a 4,000-year old dead language called 'Thracopelasgian'. A species of celosia or cockscomb also thrives in a garden within the city. This type of celosia grows tall and almost feather-like in appearance. They have strong colors like red and yellow and are a sight to behold in a field. These flowers can grow up to 3 ft. If you like daffodils in your garden, they propagate through seeds and as cut flowers. Daffodils also belong to the Narcissus family. One of the most beloved flowers, the tulip, comes in every color except blue. They are one of the few flowers to signal the arrival of spring and perhaps the most symmetrical of all flowers.
