Santa Cruz is the first class capital city of the Laguna province with over 117,000 people by 2015. It is at the centermost of Laguna with 26 barangays and trade and commerce where the economy revolves around.
Natural attractions are nowhere to be found in the city because there are no more spaces to develop. The peacock flower, or the Caesalpinia pulcherrima, grows in the wolds of Santa Cruz. It is the national flower of Barbados and has three uses. They are also widely used as an ornamental plant from indoors to gardens.
