Others prefer to make the twenty minute journey into Osaka to see the Garden of Floral Culture which is a delight whatever the season. Follow the trails and take in the beauty of the flowerbeds laid out with peonies, roses and hydrangeas. The greenhouse is a sight to behold in itself as it is shaped in the form of a pyramid and designed to resemble a flower bud. The beautiful Aramaki Rose Garden is another favorite place for visitors who would like to see flowers near Tondabayashi. With over ten thousand roses and some refreshing fountains, this park is a hit with families and lovers. About 30 minutes from Kadoma is the Expo 70 Commemorative Park which is a splendid cherry blossom viewing spot in the spring months – the evenings are a great time to visit as the trees are dressed up with lights and look simply spectacular. Elsewhere, a mere twenty minute drive away from the city lies Tsurumi Ryokuchi Park, which is a former host of the International Greenery Exposition and boasts a huge array of tulips, vibrant azaleas and fragrant roses depending on the season.
