Have an exciting tour in the city of Chicago, known as Cook County’s county seat. It is also one of the biggest and one of the most populous cities in the whole of the United States of America. Chicago is known for its outstanding museums and astounding architecture and infrastructure.
As you tour around the big city of Chicago, don’t forget to pass by the Millenium Park, where you would also see Chicago’s famous Cloud Gate, a mirrored sculpture shaped like a bean. You would see amazing tall skyscrapers in the city.
If you want to escape the city life, you can go to Chicago Botanical Gardens, and enjoy gazing at the blooming flowers. Check out the different types of geraniums like the Alpenglow Bloody Cranesbill, a perennial with a purple flower that blooms between May and June. As you go to the rocky areas, you might jump into one of these irises. This flower is a showy type, with a white color, and has an amazing fragrance.
Check out the Illinois State Flower called the Violet. They usually grow in the lawn, woods, and wetlands. It was known in history that the wild rose and the goldenrod were one of the choices to be the state flower, but it was decided in 1907, that the violet will be the state flower.
