There is plenty to do in Waterloo, Ontario. This small and compact city is worth a look if you are in the area, and boast a number of attractions. The art gallery is a great place to start if you are in to that sort of thing, and the nearby University is a nice place to visit. There are also a number of historical buildings dotted around the town that can be explored - perhaps you should take a guided walking tour if this is your thing. Don't forget to hit the mall if you want a retail fix in Waterloo - there are some great shops here. For flower lovers there is a lot to see. The University of Waterloo has its own flower garden and botanic area. But if you want to see less formal floral arrangements when in Waterloo then check out the walking and hiking trails in the area. Ontario's native wildflowers are within easy reach. These include alfalfa, bee balm and blazing star. These, amongst others such as the bloodroot and bur marigolds, can be seen all along the walking trails in the spring months and make for excellent photo opportunities. Don't forget to bring your camera with you when you are heading out on a wildflower trail in Waterloo and beyond - some of them do not bloom for very long so you will want to snap up a picture before they leave for another year!
