Tanza is a municipality in the Cavite province. It is a very competitive area and has already won several awards including the 2016 Seal of Good Local Governance.
The city doesn’t have many tourist attractions regarding places. It does have the Municipal Hall where those who oversee the affairs of the town go to every day. The plaza where the grandstand is also present for when events are held. The Holy Cross Parish Church is here for those who have devoted Catholics and wanted to offer prayers and hear mass as well. The Centennial Arch is just by the Holy Cross Parish Chuch that stands as a landmark. They also have the Sapyaw Festival, a street dancing event by students that celebrates the Feast of St.Augustine.
Passion flowers, spider flowers, and zinnias are growing in Tanza. The Passionflower, scientific name Passiflora alata is also called ouvaca that means red star. They also have medicinal uses although the Brazilian authorities in plants need to study them more. Zinnias can grow up to 48 inches and get hairy branches. There are increasing small flowerettes at the middle, and the span can be up to 7 inches. It was named after the German botanist Johann Gottfried Zinn.
