A thirty minute drive will take you to Chofo and its fantastic Jindai Botanic Gardens! Spread over one hundred acres and with an enormous rose garden, the park is the place to be to see some beautiful cherry blossoms in the spring months. The park also features a lovely tulip garden, as well as some stunning displays of azaleas. The Japanese Apricot Garden is also pretty in the spring, and the gardens are also home to the Centre for Plant Diversity for those who want to know more about local species of plants and flowers.
