Izumi, Yamanashi is located in a mountainous area just 90 minutes train journey from Tokyo. Surrounded by stunning natural hot springs and beautiful natural scenery, Izumi is a relaxing area in this part of Japan. Under a thirty minute drive from Izumi lies the stunning Kofu Valley Herb and Rose Garden. The Otsuki Cherry Blossom Festival is another great cherry blossom viewing event with hundreds of trees adorning the mountain side. Due to Izumi’s relatively close proximity to Tokyo there is also opportunity to explore all the flower-related attractions in the wider Tokyo area from Izumi, including the Meguro Rover with its Cherry Blossom festival and the Bonsai art museum in Omiya.
