One of the most popular tourist attractions in the Hungarian capital of Budapest is their medicinal and therapeutic thermal baths, but that is not all this city has to offer. On the west bank of the Danube River is historic Castle Hill. The streets are cobblestoned, and motorized vehicles are not allowed which gives the entire area a medieval feel. Visitors can pass by the Royal Castle and stop in one of the areas many shops and restaurants. Other unique attractions on the island also include Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion. The Museum of Fine Arts and the Hungarian National Gallery are also located in Budapest and house one of the finest collections of Hungarian artists and along with paintings and sculptures from around the world. Located in the heart of the city is Heroes Square. The tall monument is dedicated to everyone who has fought for Hungarian freedom. Budapest is also home to some of Europe’s most stunning gardens, including City Park which is located directly behind Heroes Square. Along with plenty of open green spaces, the park also house the Hungarian Agricultural Museum which is located in Vajdahunyad Castle. Some of the city’s smaller parks and gardens contain some of the rarer plants like honey locust, a tall tree that is over 100 years old. Located by the parliament building is the park at Szabadsag Square. Along with the shade trees, visitors can also find daisies, carnations and several different types of roses blooming throughout the year. Bright yellow and orange marigolds are always popular in Budapest, and many local residents use them in their own gardens. Tall cannas lilies and red salvia can also be found growing in the Buda Hills. The garden at the Wekerle Estate are another popular destination for visitors to Budapest. Here you can see the plants that will soon appear in the landscaped plantings around the parliament and other government buildings. We will happily deliver skillfully arranged bouquets to almost any address in Budapest.
