Though Cork is only the second-largest city of Ireland, many of the locals like to refer to it as the real capital of Ireland. An amazingly rich and colorful city, Cork was selected as the European Capital of Culture in 2005, and with its vibrant and enormous collection of arthouses, historical buildings, and much more, it’s hard not to see why.
