Not far from China - a mere twenty five kilometers in fact, is the city of Khabarovsk. A slightly overlooked attraction, Khabarovsk is often only passed through by those on the trans-Siberian railway. Flower and greenery lovers should head to the arboretum to take in the trees and the massive collection of over eight hundred different species of plants and flowers that are to be found here in this old botanic and flower garden. Dynamo Park too is a lovely place for a stroll and for those who like to explore green open spaces with plants and flowers dotting the view. It is a popular hangout for young and old alike, as well as with tourists. Think carefully about passing this wonderful city by if you are on the trans-Siberian express - you would miss the strange beach feel in the summer (although you are several hundred miles from the sea) the culture and museums, and of course the wonderful selection of plants and the flowers in the Arboretum that are just waiting to be photographed
