Biel, also known by its’ French name Bienne, is a picture perfect waterfront town in Switzerland. Of course, there are plenty of alpine plants on display here, as can best be expected. But there is also an excellent collection of exotic and non-native species as well. There are over 1500 species of Alpine plants and shrubs on display. There are also greenhouses housing exotic ferns and other heat loving shrubs, and a floral themed café at which you can sit back and relax after exploring.
