As the second largest city in Israel, Tel Aviv has plenty to offer. Nicknamed “The City That Never Sleeps”, there is literally something for everyone in this amazing metropolis. Not only is haggling a way of conducting business in Tel Aviv, it has been turned into an art form in this bustling market. Visitors can find everything from jewelry and bangles to flowers, clothes and even furniture. The city is also home to several parks and gardens, where visitors can relax among the large shade trees. One of Israel’s largest botanical gardens can also be found in Tel Aviv, and the Tel Aviv University Botanical Garden is home to over 3,800 native and global plants. See some of the world’s famous medicinal plants, and view one of the largest collections of succulents. Giant red irises, salvias, and even a giant Agave can be found in the gardens 18 buildings all devoted to study the diverse plant life found around the globe.
