As the second largest city in Israel, Tel Aviv has plenty to offer. Nicknamed “The City That Never Sleeps”, there is literally something for everyone in this amazing metropolis. There are over 10 miles of white, sandy beaches around Tel Aviv, and with over 300 sunny days a year they are a popular attraction among tourists and residents. Tel Aviv has more to offer than just gorgeous beaches, and the picturesque neighborhood of Neve Tzedek is just one example. Visitors can stroll along the shaded streets and alleyways and simply gaze at the beautiful architecture. Quaint cafes and unique local shops can also be found in this historic neighborhood. For a taste of older Tel Aviv, the ancient streets of Old Jaffa are located in southern part of the city. Visitors can also stop in the local Flea Market where old customs are still observed, including the art of haggling. Once visitors have practiced their battering skills in the smaller markets, they can try getting a bargain at the Carmel Market. Not only is haggling a way of conducting business in Tel Aviv, it has been turned into an art form in this bustling market. Visitors can find everything from jewelry and bangles to flowers, clothes and even furniture. The city is also home to several parks and gardens, where visitors can relax among the large shade trees. One of Israel’s largest botanical gardens can also be found in Tel Aviv, and the Tel Aviv University Botanical Garden is home to over 3,800 native and global plants. See some of the world’s famous medicinal plants, and view one of the largest collections of succulents. Giant red irises, salvias, and even a giant Agave can be found in the gardens 18 buildings all devoted to study the diverse plant life found around the globe. You can have many of these native flowers and other floral arrangements delivered to most address in Tel Aviv.
