Bunbury has tons of things to do! If you are travelling with the kids then you have a plethora of activities to keep them entertained. Check out the Dolphin Discovery Centre of the local Bunbury Wildlife Park to name but a few attractions. Bunbury is also well located for exploring the beaches and water activities in the area. Koombana beach is a nice place to spend the day with family, or perhaps head to Jetty Baths where the kids can play in the play park once they have had enough of the sea. There are several good museums in the area too, including the Bunbury Museum and Heritage center where you can learn about local history, or visit the Rose Hotel which was established in 1865. If you are on the lookout for flowers and trees when in Bunbury then visit to the Golden Valley Tree Park is a must. Located in Balingup you can check out different types of native trees, including the Desert Ash. You will see lots of little yellow flowers here as well as trees such as the Firewheel which flowers in the winter. For a fix of beautiful roses, head on over to Finlay Gardens in Collie which has a lovely rose garden that blooms in the spring. In fact, you can get a map at the tourist information center that gives you a guided tour of gardens and buildings in the town that are adorned with roses - you just need to pick up a leaflet. Finally, head to Stirling Cottage. This is a charming 19th century reconstructed cottage that boasts a charming cottage garden with lots of pretty flowers on display. Bring your camera and photograph its charm when in the area around Bunbury - some of the floral attractions need to be seen to be believed!
