Located in Tokyo, the Sumida area offers the visitor and local alike plenty of things to do. If you fancy getting out of Sumida to see some flowers and plants then head to Fujisawa, under an hour’s train ride away. The flower of Fujisawa is the beautiful wisteria, and you will see it all over the place, making for a stunning sight! More treats await you if you head to the island of Enoshima – visit the Samuel Cocking Botanical Garden, which is great in rose flower season but also boasts a stunning collection of colorful flowers For cherry blossoms, a trip to Hikichigawa Park in the spring would yield beautiful photograph opportunities, with the Hiroshi Hayashi Garden the location of the stunning wisteria displays in Fujisawa in the late spring
