Adachi is well located for exploring all of Tokyo’s fantastic attractions. The area itself is also worth visiting, and boasts an old town vibe with lots of little restaurants and shops just waiting to be explored. Those visiting can check out the local shrine and have a wander around before heading on to the bigger attractions in the wider Tokyo area. Machida is nearby and has a lot of things on offer for those who love flowers. Its’ yearly cherry blossom flower festival is a real delight, with flowers everywhere and the trees lit up spectacularly in the evenings. The festival takes place at the Ridge City Park and is enjoyed by all, but if you can’t make it during the actual blossom season never worry. There is stunning garden full of peony flowers here too, just bursting at the seams with colour. Elsewhere, the nearby Yakushiike Park offers those who make the effort to visit lots of beautiful flowers, plants and shrubs. The district of Meguro is also nearby and has a pretty riverbank which showcases gorgeous cherry blossom flowers in the spring months, as well as the famous Meguro Sky Garden which has pleasant gardens in which to stroll and take in the pretty flower on display. Adachi is also within easy reach of Shinagawa - this is another area of the Tokyo Metropolis that boasts gorgeous cherry blossom flower displays during the spring. Finally, nearby Sakura is also the name given to the gorgeous cherry trees throughout Japan and it is no wonder - this area has some of the best cherry blossom flower trees in Japan. Mitaka-shi is also nearby and plays host to a fabulous cherry blossom festival in the spring at the lovely Nougyou Kouen Park.
