With favourites such as the Japanese Garden – stuffed with cherry trees that look fabulous in the spring – and the Rose Garden – with its six different fragrant zones, the Botanic Garden is a sheer delight. The Four Season Garden here ensures there are splashes of colour throughout the year, with azaleas and chrysanthemums, and there is a fantastic rainforest and an area dedicated to Begonias. The Botanic Gardens also run a series of annual events that will keep even the most experienced gardener wanting more, including tours, seminars on retaining water and other festivals.
