Lots to do in Lubbock!! Start off at the Buddy Holly Centre which celebrates the history of this rock n roll legend right in his home town, or head to one of the history museums in the city. The Caprock Vineyard is also a fantastic place to soak up some atmosphere and sample some delicious wines. For those looking to catch some green space when in Lubbock, or a place in which to sit and relax, head to the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum. At almost one hundred acres this massive parkland is a great place to explore and see many different native shrubs and plants. The spring months at the Arboretum are fabulous, with a lovely selection of cherry trees providing some much needed colour after winter. There are over ten thousand daffodils planted here, so the contrast of the pink from the trees and the yellow from these happy flowers makes for excellent photo opportunities. The Hodges Rose Garden here is a lovely place to take a stroll, and there is a pleasant perennial garden full of irises and other flowers. In the late spring and early summer head to the Wildflower Garden which is specially designed to attract various forms of native and migrating wildlife and birds.
