Akhyritou, also spelled as Acheritou, is a small village in Cyprus located west of Famagusta, in the Famagusta district. Acheritou itself doesn’t have a high number of attractions, but the nearby city of Famagusta has a number to offer. At one point, it was the most important port city on the island, and a gateway for Silk Road merchants to make trades with Levantine merchants. These days, it is an important Cyprian economic and commercial hub, specializing in tourism and industrial production, among other things. The walled city in Famagusta is a popular tourist attraction, as is the annual International Famagusta Art and Culture Festival, hosting various concerns and dance shows. Famagusta has quieted down in recent years due to political reasons, but there are still good reasons to visit. Flowers that can be found in Acheritou and Famagusta include Cyprus cyclamen and lavenders, which can be sent by us to many locations within Cyprus.
