This area of Australia is simply stunning, with green vegetation stretching as far as the eye can see! If you want to see some flowers and shrubs then perhaps a trip to the summit of Mount Lofty is in order. A hike up here (around two kilometers from the Cleland Wildlife Park) will reward with stunning displays of wildflowers year round. Here you can find the orchids and shrub violets in abundance - the native spotted donkey orchid is one to watch out for. Elsewhere in South Australia the Clare Valley is also a great place for flower spotting with displays of blue fairies as well as red parrot peas. If you want to try your hand at growing some of your own Australian flowers then a visit to the greenhouses at Belair National Park will help - staff will assist you to pick up some native plants and flowers for transport back home. Finally, a visit to Mount Remarkable National Park or the Innamincka Regional Reserve boasts lovely daisies and geraniums in the early season along by the river. In fact, there are more floral attraction than you can shake a stick at in Adelaide Hills!
