There is just so much to do here in Fort Collins you would need several weeks to do it all! For flower lovers there is also a lot to see in Fort Collins. The flowers that appear in spring along the trails are perhaps your best opportunity, and the Pawnee Buttes will offer you rewards close to town - take in lavender leaf and prickly pear cactus amongst other wildflowers. And, if you have time, head south to Denver to Cherry Creek - it is definitely worth a stop if you are in town in the spring - the cherry blossom flower displays are simply spectacular! The Indian Peaks Wilderness trail is also an awesome spot for checking out some of the gorgeous wildflower displays that dot the area in the spring and summer months. Mount Cutler flower trail is a nice place to see the early blooms peeking out from behind rocks ads the snow begins to melt after the long winters in Colorado. In fact, everywhere you go outside of town you will be pleased with the display of wildflowers, shrubs and plants that greet you in Fort Collins!
Beautiful Fort Collins is a fantastic place to visit in Colorado. Situated just north of Denver, you may feel like the town is slightly familiar - and it is! It is one of the models for the main street at several Disneyland Theme Parks, and the olde worlde charm abounds in the town at every turn. Stunning old buildings make up the historic colonial heart of the town, and you could lose several hours wandering around the boutiques and cafes. The town is stuffed with restaurants, and at its’ heart is the Old Town Square which has a lovely plaza atmosphere. In town there are also home to the Museum of Discovery, dozens of craft breweries and the fantastic Global Village Museum. Fort Collins is also a great base for those who love the great outdoors. Take a hot air balloon ride over the area, hike nearly 300 miles of trails, try your hand at mountain biking and in the winter go cross country skiing.
