Oshawa has plenty of things to do for those in the area. There are plenty of museums to explore, from the art museum at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, the Canadian Automotive Museum and the Oshawa Museum for an overview of the city’s history. Oshawa is also an excellent place to visit if you love the great outdoors and wish to check out some of the lovely flowers and plants that grow in the area. First stop for flower spotting should be the Oshawa Valley Botanical Garden. A collection of several gardens and sheltered by trees, the Botanical Garden is a great place to explore. Check out the gorgeous peony garden with its hundreds of varieties of peonies – if you are in the area in spring you may just be lucky enough to hit up the peony festival. Against the backdrop of beautiful blooms the Peony Festival in Oshawa also showcases flower-related art, activities for kids and food from local businesses. There is also a pleasant Memory Garden in the Botanical Garden with various plants and shrubs which is a nice place for reflection. There is so much to see in Oshawa for the flower lover, including many other pleasant parks and gardens just waiting to be explored.
