An excellent base for exploring Canada’s indigenous history, Saskatoon has plenty to see and do. If it is flowers and greenery you seek when in Saskatoon then you are blessed with nature in the area around the city. In April, the Meewasin Trail is a great place to take a hike in search of the crocuses that come out after the harsh winters. And just over an hour away on Mount Carmel near Humboldt you will be rewarded with a plethora of flowers such as the Purple Prairie Clover and the Silverleaf Psoralea, amongst others. The area also boasts fabulous views for miles around and is an excellent day trip out of Saskatoon for all the family.
