Shepparton has plenty of things to do and is a particularly good area if you are trying to entertain children! There is a huge indoor play area with will keep the little ones entertained if the weather is not playing ball. If it is, take the kiddies strawberry picking at the Belstack Strawberry farm or spoil them with a treat a Billabong Sweets and Treats. Don't forget Fun Planet if they are still bored. If you love flowers, plants and shrubs why not check out the Cactus Country. This is the place to head if you love succulents, for there are more than four thousand different types of cactus on display here, as well as various points of interest for those who want to know more. Shepparton Regional Park is another great place to head if you love wildflowers, and you can head on a walk around Jordan's Bend along the Goulburn River. This is the place of the Red River Gum plant and is what many wetland animals call home, but you can also see loads of wildflowers here too including orchids. Shepparton is also home to the Australian Botanic Gardens. This newly created space has been formed from a landfill site and is being developed into many different flower themed zones. The area offers beautiful vistas from Honeysuckle Rise, and you can explore a number of garden paths and walkways. Check out the native plants on display in the forest walk - you will see Kangaroo Paw as well as lots of bush and wild grasses. You can also check out lovely silver Banksia, Grevillea Bonnie Prince Charlie and gorgeous pink everlasting daisy. There is plenty here to keep the kids entertained too, so do not hesitate to visit this weird and wonderful park if you are in Shepparton. Bring the camera along and take some stunning photographs.
