Tamworth الزهور

Located in NSW, Tamworth is probably best known as playing host to the giant country and western music fair that takes place annually. Living up to its' musical theme, Tamworth also has a giant golden guitar which is a popular place to grab a photograph. There is also the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame which, if you are into this sort of music, will be a delight. The museum takes you through Australia's country and music past and has a wide range of artifacts on display including some interesting costumes and other related items. If music is not your thing there are a number of other museums including a motorcycle museum and one dedicated to a power station! Those on the lookout for flowers in Tamworth need not be worried about missing out either! The local district supports the growing of flowers and issues an information leaflet on what species grow best in the region. This includes guidance on how to keep flowers alive in drought periods. They recommend growing a wide range of wattle - silver, green, black and cedar, which are all hardy shrubs that do well in the environment. There is also willow myrtle, blackwood and weeping myall, all of which make for an attractive flower bed. Where flowers are concerned, the district claims climbers such as the Climbing Guinea Flower and the common waxflower do well under supervision, as does the desert jasmine which is hardy but perhaps does not bring that much colour to any flower bed. This advice is issued by the Australian Plant Society which is located in Tamworth. They also publish within the guide a list of endangered plants and flowers, as well as a document several pages long on all of the plants, shrubs, trees and flowers that will grow well in the area.
