The spring is a great time to visit the flower gardens, with stunning displays of daffodils bringing the first bursts of color to the park. There are over three thousand different types of plants and flowers on display here, so make sure to bring your camera and use it as you go along. The gardens are split up into different themes. There is a rose garden with almost three hundred types of roses, as well as over one thousand two hundred tropical plants. Augsburg is one of Germany’s oldest cities and as such is stuffed full of historical attractions and things to see and do. The Fuggerei area is perhaps one of the most interesting in Germany - this is an old housing initiative started back in the 16th century and is still going to this day! The city is teeming with other architectural places of interest as well, such as the cathedral and the gorgeous watchtower which dominates the square.
