Katsuta Fiori Fiorista

Located just outside of Hitachi, Katsuta is off the beaten track for visitors, however the area around nearby Hitachi-Naka has plenty of activities on offer and wonderful places to explore. The brilliant Aqua World Aquarium is a great day out, and there are dozens of places in which to get acquainted with the beauty of this area of Japan. Kairakuen Garden is a fabulous place to stroll for example, especially in the early spring during the Plum Festival for its beautiful blossoms. Here, beautiful plum trees dominate the landscaped gardens - a particularly wonderful place to head during the spring when the blossoms are in full bloom. During this period, usually in February or March, the Plum Blossom Festival will be in full swing, with many of the over three thousand trees lit up at night encouraging lots of people taking a romantic stroll in the park. The nearby Hitachi Seaside Park offers fabulous displays of flowers spread across fifteen different parks! From tulips to narcissus to wildflowers, this park is the place to head to see multiple different plant species in one area. Hitachi is also near to Mito-shi which is home to the interesting Flower Robot Museum, as well as several interesting shrines and museums that make the area a great place to explore over a few days. So if you wish to take in flowers and parks in Katsuta then its best to head here!
