Sayama Fiori Fiorista

Situated to the north west of Tokyo, Sayama is within easy reach of the many attractions in the Tokyo area. In the city itself there is an interesting municipal museum as well as an indoor ski resort. From Sayama it is easy to head to many of the surrounding cities in the metropolis of Tokyo, and for flower lovers in particular there are plenty of interesting sights. In particular, the Meguro River during the cherry blossom festival is the place to head for a picturesque walk through the falling blossoms – a favorite pastime of locals and visitors alike. The Meguro Sky Garden is also a wonderful place to explore, admire the architecture and welcome some green space and tranquility when in the area. Sayama is also not far from Shinagawa - visitors to this part of Tokyo who wish to escape big city life can head to Shinagawa Kumin Park. Flowers are in bloom throughout the year, but the best plants and colors are seen in the spring, including of course cherry and plum trees. The sakura plaza is a favorite place for locals to sit and picnic in the spring, whilst partaking in the local pastime of watching the blossoms fall. Shinagawa also hosts a Greenery and Flower Festival in Shinagawa-ku, spread out across several different areas.
