Yono is a district just outside of Tokyo, and is well located for those wishing to explore the surrounding area and all that Tokyo has to offer. It is located not a long way away from Sumida this district is the place to head if you love plants and flower watching in Japan. Sumida is home to the Mukojima Hyakkaen Gardens which offers a wonderful spot at which to watch the falling cherry tree petals in the annual sakura season. An absolute must here is to take a stroll on the banks of the river Meguro in the annual cherry and plum blossom season. As the trees drop their pretty petals to the ground you will be in awe at the blanket of pink flowers that surround you. Meguro is also home to the wonderful Meguro Sky Garden which is not only an interesting building but also a place in which you can wander around the calming gardens and lawns, taking in some pretty plants and flowers. The district of Yono is also easily accessible to Shinagawa - this enchanting area of Tokyo offers those on the lookout for flowers a real treat - especially in the spring months where you can watch the flowers falling from the cherry trees whilst sitting in the lush gardens with a picnic amongst friends. Make sure you have your camera close to hand when in Yona as you make your journey around the area on the excellent public transport. You will find lots of excellent flower related attractions in the nearby area.
