Sumida Fiori Fiorista

Located in Tokyo, the Sumida area offers the visitor and local alike plenty of things to do. The tallest building in the city – the Tokyo Skytree – is here, and its restaurants at the bottom are a much-loved place at which to meet friends. The area is also home to the Edo-Tokyo Museum and its plethora of interesting artefacts, as well as the excellent Sumida Aquarium. For those wishing to see a little greenery when in Sumida, head to the beautiful Mukojima Hyakkaen Gardens. These traditional gardens are a favorite spot for locals to watch the cherry and plum blossoms fall in Sumida in April, and the cherry trees offer excellent photo opportunities. If you fancy getting out of Sumida to see some flowers and plants then head to Fujisawa, under an hour’s train ride away. The flower of Fujisawa is the beautiful wisteria, and you will see it all over the place, making for a stunning sight! More treats await you if you head to the island of Enoshima – visit the Samuel Cocking Botanical Garden, which is great in rose flower season but also boasts a stunning collection of colorful flowers For cherry blossoms, a trip to Hikichigawa Park in the spring would yield beautiful photograph opportunities, with the Hiroshi Hayashi Garden the location of the stunning wisteria displays in Fujisawa in the late spring
