The wonderful seafront town of Hachinohe is well worth a visit. Lit up at nights the area is simply magical and well worth a visit if you are lucky enough to be in Japan during cherry blossom season. The park also has an interesting botanic garden displaying lots of other colorful local and native plants and shrubs.
