Narita is a city in the Chiba Prefecture. It’s a place where the citizens celebrate nature is through the flowers festivals that the city holds every year. Plum trees, azaleas, cosmos, and chrysanthemums are some of the flowers abundant here.
One occasion is the Plum Blossom Festival held at the Naritasan Park. About 500 trees that produce white and red flowers are giving off their delightful scent all over the park every spring. When planting azaleas, they should not be planted with any other flowers around them because of the shallow roots. In the fields of Narita, cosmos flowers multiply heavily. October to November, the Naritasan Shinshoji Temple holds a chrysanthemum meeting where different flowers are displayed for others to enjoy. The Flower Festival Celebration Parade is an event shared by the Naritasan monks and Narita High School students.
